I will always, always, always have a gigantic soft spot for DBZ, especially these two. I was watching DBZ Kai a couple months back, and was struck my how much I'd forgotten - especially how much of a straight-up jerk Piccolo was in the beginning! Drop-kicking little kids and throwing them head first into nearby mountains, he's clearly the world's best babysitter.

I'm alive!

I'm alive! I'm sorry for leaving this poor blog in the lurch; it's been a rough couple of months, and I haven't had as much time to draw as I'd like. Here's some life drawing, a giant robot, and Ice Queen (predatoring on dudes!) though. More to come!

Comics and commissions

Some more of my recent stuff! Sorry for the late post, Blogger doesn't seem to be playing nicely with Firefox for some reason... The first one is a comic done for fun about how I recently got my ears pierced (I hear head-explody is a common side effect), while the other two were commissions. The first is for BadNarrator on Deviantart, of Jimmy Griffin, Kid Detective, the lead character from his excellent short story 'Or Stay Tuned', which can be read here, while the second is a commission for Carrie-ko on Deviantart, who is one of the artists I admire most when it comes to watercolours. Seriously, she's amazing. The fact that I got to go nuts on Doctor Who fanart didn't hurt either!

8th Doctor Commish

A bust commission of the 8th Doctor from Animaritime! Man, this was fun to do. After I did this, a friend of mine was nice enough to send me download links to the 8th Doctor's radio plays, I've been making my way through them all month!

Wheeeee!

Rapunzel fanart! Man, I love this movie.

Last few bits of 2010

Sketch challenge (the prompt was 'tonight' - in this case meaning Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight, by Spinal Tap), Secret Santa and shameless Ponyo fanart!

Sketches and acrylic testing

The Ghosts of Pikmin Past

Snow, Glass, Apples

Sorry I've been away for so long, guys (all two of you who read this thing!) Life's been keeping me busy. This one's a fanart for Neil Gaiman's horrifying take on Snow White, called Snow, Glass Apples. You'll never be able to look at the original the same way again.

Torterra Picnic

I've been playing a lot of Pokemon Pearl, lately. I wish you coul do this in-game.

Supersnipe!

Supersnipe! He's the mascot for Strange Adventures, the best comic shop in Halifax, and hell, probably the entire east coast of Canada. This was done for a contest to celebrate the opening of a new SA location in Dartmouth.

Ranma

More fanarts. This one was 90% photoshop, especially since the initial sketch had to be reworked a bit.

Sketchdump!

Big ol' sketchdump from earlier in the month! Trying to fill up this blog a bit more...

"There are a lot of attitudes going on around here... don't let me get one."

Fantastic Mr. Fox deserves all the fanart it can get! Played around with ink washes and photoshop overlays for this one.

Testing, 123 Testing...

Just testing! This was some Young Frankenstein fanart that turned into a colouring experiment. I've been humming 'Transylvania Mania' and 'Roll In the Hay' ever since seeing the musical in March.
